A ship goes to hell, and then a crew goes to the ship...
Three brothers ride a train and basically nothing else. God I hate Wes Anderson
Sort of Ted Lasso for basketball
A pretty plain romcom that I really like
A killer clown exists
An accessible breakdown of the 2008 housing crisis
I have literally no idea, but it ended like 3 times
Childhood sweethearts fall in love again
A selfish emperor gets turned into a llama, and learns his lesson. I always forget how funny this film is; there's very little fat in that 80 minutes.
Scientists fuck around, and as you can imagine, find out
The film is set in an American civil war but doesn't really explain why anything has happened or who the sides are. Within that context we're then following the moral quandaries of some photojournalists? I didn't really understand what stance this film was taking tbh.
A racist guy softens up a bit after about two hours
A really well crafted, funny, zombie movie
A carer looks after a kid - very funny, very sad
The mind games of world war 2
It's a classic body horror in that the plot quickly goes off the rails, and goes on for way too long. The production was great, but yeah, it lost a bunch of cohesiveness as it went on.
Pretty standard Mario plot. The film was surprisingly not a disaster!
Another Poirot murder mystery
Drunk superhero sobers up and is super
Dragons were good, then bad, but now good again
A woman going through an abusive relationship getting back on her feet
A really sweet sort of day-in-the-life type drama of a man who's a bit down on his look trying to get by.
There are too many humans, and some people are trying to fix that.
They made the Truman Show for one guy. He gets invited to jury duty, but literally everybody he interacts with is an actor. It's massively wholesome, would definitely recommend.
We're following the actors in the background of things
A fun world-bendy kind of thriller. The Ushers are all dying, try to figure out why!
Bringing Life on Mars to a satisfying conclusion
Community service peeps get into even more trouble
So there's a man called Rick, and also a boy named Morty...
Three non humans trying to being... well you get the idea
A pretty great adaptation to television from the movie. The characters were pretty well developed, but I think the plot maybe leant a bit too heavily on the movie, it made this season fairly predictable. Will keep an eye out for season 2 though!
The first season was very very good, but the second hasn't quite lived up to it. Hopefully season 3 picks up the stakes!
An inmate is trying to figure out where a deranged serial killer hid the bodies
TV comfort food
They've really cracked the formula for addictive watching with this. Once a game starts you want to see how it ends, then another starts before the episode ends, and you end up watching the next, and the next, etc
A deep dive into how confidence and not much else can make you billions of dollars
I learned a bit more about far right movements in the UK from this, but the story itself is a bit bland. There's a group, it gets infiltrated, he gets them banged up. Not too many twists or turns here
A very crafty Japanese lord is trying to avoid getting destroyed by 4 other crafty lords. In the middle of all of this, a foreigner has landed in Japan and is trying to figure out what's going on. Season 1 had a bit of an anticlimactic ending IMO, but we'll see where season 2 goes!
It's friends
One of the most wholesome shows on TV that kinda started getting high on its own supply near the end IMO

Horus has lost all semblance of chill, I now understand why it's called the Horus Heresy
The first intro to the Ultramarines, and the Thousand Sons, two pretty neat factions.
Sort of a knight's tale but set in the universe of 40k. The story is set on a planet of knights, and they're hunting big beasties. It's a lot of fun!
The battle of Calth! Pretty sick story; it turns out Lorgar actually has some moves
A collection of short stories with Geralt and Dandelion; the stories are all pretty good, but this was one of the first things Andrzej wrote, so it's not his best work.
Really interesting look at where the heresy series spawned from. Following the word bearers this time and seeing how the very first spark kicked off the rest of the heresy.
Pretty cool insight into the Space Wolves and how they work. We get to see their side of Magnus getting his shit rocked.
We're following Corvus Corax and the The Raven Guard this time round, just after the dropsite massacre. This book was frustrating because you want them to win, and they kind of do but it's very bittersweet. I really wish the Alpha Legion would just go away
A fun collection of short stories; some insights into what happened on Isstvan V
Horus is less chill now, but hey, maybe he can bring it round
Easily the most depressing book I've ever read. It takes post-apocalyptic to a whole new level. There aren't fun little gangs and societies just trying to get by. Everything is gone, they can't even find new shoes, let alone food. Really bleak.
This heresy business sure is complicated. It's becoming very difficult to know who the good and bad guys are in this thing.
Not a bad anthology; some hits and misses. Seeing what Fulgrim is up to is always super interesting; but the Alpha legion just doesn't grab me as much. If they don't trust anyone at all, it's really hard to know who to root for in their stories
Horus is pretty chill, we take a planet or two, chaos exists but it ain't no thang!
Another collection of short stories; I remember these being really funny. "Eternal Flame", the story about the doppler is great. "A Little Sacrifice", the story with the mermaid, also great. The dialog took a huge step up from the first book.
Things are kicking off, everybody's gone to war with everybody, and all of the main characters are splintered in every direction. Let's see how the next book goes!
We meet the Alpha Legion, who aren't really like the other 40k legions. They seem to use secrecy more than anything else which makes this book quite twisty turny.
We’re jumping to the aftermath of the Caliban chapter, Descent of Angels. The book is super fun because it follows Zahariel and the Lion in tandem, and they're both great stories!
Basically book 3 from the perspective of the Death Guard, and then a little after that. Bottom line - this chaos stuff is becoming a real problem
It did a great job of putting into words what I suspect most people think. Giving phones to kids at a young age, and coddling them from real world play, and risk, has disastrous effects on their mental health. I'd highly recommend this book for any expectant parent, I think it would drastically change how you raise you kids.
